My best photograph

This image is my best image because I feel that I was able to not only emulate the picture the best I feel I did, but I also brought in the aspect of the rule of thirds with lead-in lines. The most challenging aspect of this project was being able to successfully emulate Sallie Mann's images and make them my own while looking as though it is hers as well. In the future, I will use stronger lead-in lines and more rules of thirds in the images I take because I feel as though those two aspects allow the viewer's eyes to be directed to the subject in a more intriguing manner.

Hallie, I really love this image that you created with her in the pointe shoes, which is why I was so drawn to this. I like how the girl is in the middle of the photo, with the rule of thirds, this allows the viewer to look at her and have her be the main focus. Something that would enhance the photo even more would possibly be to add more contrast between the girl and the background. Maybe having a more simple background would make the piece more dramatic.

Hi,
I really like the photo! I was really drawn to how the everyday background of what seems like a residential area with the subject in the picture. It really added a unique element to the photo. The black and white tones created a calm and eerie mood, which led me to wonder if the subject's emotions were aligned. Including the rule of thirds along with the lead-in lines allowed for the subject to be the primary focus. However, I think that adding more contrast from the subject to the background can allow it to stand out more.
I think that the focus is right for this subject. I think that her in the middle of the of the image makes the audience focus on her. I think that the contrast of light could have been more. In the base image there seems to be a very bright light shining down. I also think the lead lines could have made it more comparable to the photographers work.
